The VPLI has partnerships with both UNR and UNLV in southern Nevada. The goal of these partnerships are to leverage assets between and among both institutions of higher education in Nevada, and to engage the larger community of scholars across the country in a dialogue about what is possible at the state and local level in terms of systems based, data driven change.
University of Nevada Reno
The VPLI is located on the campus of the University of Nevada Reno, which has supported our work, mission and vision since inception. It is through these partnerships that we established our institute and opened our doors in July 2015. http://unr.edu
University of Nevada Las Vegas
The University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Environmental and Public Affairs is a core partner on all VPLI projects, bringing incredible resources to the work. Dr. Christopher Stream, Director of SEPA is working with a team of graduate students to advance research and scholarship on veterans issues, and to link Nevada veteran data to current big data projects underway at SEPA in partnership with Applied Analysis, a well known data and analytics firm. http://sepa.unlv.edu
